NVT Pathology

The National Variety Trial (NVT) program was established by GRDC in 2005 to provide Australian grain growers and advisers with access to independent and locally relevant variety performance information. The NVT Pathology program produces the NVT national disease resistance ratings through field, glasshouse, laboratory and controlled-environment trials. Under the program 80 individual crop-by-disease disease resistance ratings are produced annually. Disease surveillance is undertaken at around 80 sites co-located with NVT yield trials where 170 unique screening experiments are conducted.
