Smarter Irrigation 2: Review of existing and planned broadacre irrigation research, development, and extension (RD&E) – desk top study

This project is part of the wider Smarter Irrigation for Profit Phase II (SIP2) project, which is delivered with support from the Australian Government under the Rural R&D for Profit program. SIP2 is addressing the challenge of reduced water availability by improving the water productivity of Australian cropping and pasture irrigators. The SIP2 project requires collaboration between the private sector and research organisations with the aim of increasing the number of commercial partnerships. This project is designed to identify and recommend such collaborations between public, industry, and private sector irrigation RD&E organisations, investors, and agtech.
