Building profitable farming systems for the future through increasing soil organic carbon (SOC) and optimising water use efficiency (WUE) in a changing climate
This project, delivered by the Dryland Cotton Research Association, recognises that improving the reliability of dryland and limited water cropping system production is an ever present challenge in a future of increased temperatures and sporadic rainfall. It will investigate tactics integral to the future farming system: cover cropping, accumulation of soil organic carbon, and optimising water use efficiency.
