Review of the security of tenure on public lands

Public land access is important for commercial beekeepers across Australia, and it also underpins essential pollination services for agriculture.   Access to floral resources has been identified by industry as its number one priority.   A challenge is access to resources on public land which have become complex over time due to changes in tenure which is different between all States as well as changes to public land management.  This research will identify the existing tenure arrangements across the States and provide analysis on the security of that tenure which supports the commercial operations.  The project will consider if there are alternative or preferred legal model that would improve security and provide analysis on pros and cons associated with proposed changes.
