Regional development: Intersection with agricultural, fisheries and forestry ind

This project is to a scoping study assessing the nature of, and extent to which, agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries contribute to regional development and rely on the regions to fuel pre and post farm gate food and fibre production.Thriving rural and regional communities are considered key to achieving Australia's agricultural aspiration to grow to $100 billion by 2030, yet there is little quantifiable data that describes and explains the critical link between regional development and agriculture, fisheries and forestry industries. Understanding that link will inform government on regional development policies and programs needed to achieve the dual aim of building strong rural industries and strong regional communities.
