Pilot - Development of Seafood Nutritional Panels

Composition and nutrition data are required to underpin consumer trust and demand in seafood products. While some data already exists on compositional profiles in some seafood products, including Food Standard Australia New Zealand’s Nutrition Tables (NUTTAB), contaminants data collected by National Residue Survey (NRS), and data held privately by companies, a number of gaps and shortcomings in accuracy exist. This investment will generate nutritional data for 25 Australian species in suitable formats to meet consumer needs.
