Inland saline aquaculture - past progress, new opportunities and a synthesis of available knowledge

The project on inland saline aquaculture brings several benefits. Firstly, it addresses the need to translate research into commercial development, which has been a challenge in this area historically. By collating existing documents and publications, the project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of previous research, policy, practical farming methods, and opportunities in inland saline aquaculture over the last twenty years. This knowledge will help identify the factors that prevented commercial development in Australia and led to successful development overseas. Furthermore, the project aims to identify new opportunities in inland saline aquaculture and recommend ways to explore and capture these opportunities. By providing this information, potential investors can make informed decisions and be equipped with the necessary knowledge to drive commercial development in this sector.
