Improving preparedness of the Australian horticultural sector to the threat potentially posed by Xylella fastidiosa (a severe biosecurity risk)
This multi-industry and multi-sector investment supports the role and activities of a national Xylella coordinator, through the Plant Biosecurity Research Initiative (PBRI). It seeks to support biosecurity planning needs and improved preparedness related to the potential incursion of Xylella fastidiosa, a bacterial pathogen which poses a significant threat to horticultural and forestry industries, environment and amenity flora.
