Animal health and welfare is a key issue for the Australian red meat and wool industries. Project Proof is a proposed biennial/triennial national tracking study designed to benchmark on-farm animal health and welfare and measure performance trends over time.

This project funds a Producer Demonstration Site (PDS) to demonstrate best management practice of a non-mulesed flock, using available tools and management strategies, to mitigate the effect of flystrike on flock production and profitability.

This project will investigate farmers' use of multi-week (2-8 weeks) and seasonal climate forecasts (1-6 months) through in-depth interviews with stakeholders from the meat, dairy, grain, wine and sugar industries, to determine ways to increase the uptake of climate information to improve productivity and profitability.
