Project Proof
Animal health and welfare is a key issue for the Australian red meat and wool industries. Project Proof is a proposed biennial/triennial national tracking study designed to benchmark on-farm animal health and welfare and measure performance trends over time.
Measuring and reporting national performance can drive refinement and adoption of animal welfare initiatives, better inform program investment and design, attract investment in the sector, underpin successful market access negotiations, signal trust-building transparency for customers and offer compelling evidence to maintain the industry’s social license to operate.
