South Australian Pacific Oyster selective breeding program: Building POMS resistance to reduce risk for the South Australian oyster industry
This project aims to support the South Australian Pacific oyster selective breeding program build a resistance level of over 90% for ≥ one year old oysters to Pacific Oyster Mortality Syndrome (POMS) by developing selective families. Subsequently it will support the industry by provision of high POMS resistant broodstock for commercial spat production.
