Seafood Trade Advisory Group - transitioning to a new communications, governance and operating model
The project aims to transition the Seafood Trade Advisory Group (STAG) to a new communications, governance, and operating model within Seafood Industry Australia (SIA). The STAG, established in 2013, has a successful track record of supporting Australian abalone and rock lobster exporters in engaging with the government and addressing market access issues. The transition to the new model, under SIA's auspices, will enable the STAG to expand its services and resources. This includes enhancing communications, governance, operations, and funding mechanisms. During the transition, the STAG will continue to provide valuable services, such as market intelligence, early warning systems, and international trade expertise, supporting exporters in navigating the volatile international trade environment and pursuing market diversification strategies. Collaboration between the STAG and SIA will also focus on building additional seafood-specific international trade knowledge and capacity.
