Insect Mapping Study

Insect pests can affect pasture and crop yield and therefore dairy farmers' budgets. Careful monitoring of pests and the conditions which might allow them to thrive can help to reduce their impact on pasture and crop yield. This project focussed on gathering on-farm data on pest distribution, prevalence and providing estimates of the of the potential economic cost of pest damage on Australian dairy pastures.
