Improving viticulture and oenology practice through extension and communication
The Australian wine sector operates in a dynamic and competitive environment, both domestically and overseas. It is critical that stakeholders have up-to-date information to ensure that their contributions to the sector reflect best practices and their businesses are sustainable, efficient and competitive.
This project will:
- Liaise with stakeholders (including Wine Australia and Australian Grape & Wine's Research Advisory Committee), to identify and implement practice change activities including as required those listed under Wine Australia's Extension and Adoption Strategy 2020-2025 and Strategic Plan.
- Develop new content to support awareness-raising and practice change objectives, drawn from sources including Wine Australia funded research and development outcomes and industry queries received through the AWRI helpdesk.
- Prepare and deliver information and knowledge to Australian grape and wine producers via a diverse range of digital and hard copy platforms, supporting both awareness-raising and practice change objectives.
- Deliver extension and industry outreach events and programs across Australia, supporting both awareness-raising and practice change objectives..
