Australia’s emissions pathway – costs, benefits & priorities for red meat processors

Considering the impending federal election, AMPC is seeking to provide its members with a policy review of the potential changes to Australia’s climate and energy outlook. This paper will provide a summary of the energy and carbon policies of the elected party and an assessment of the potential impact of these policies on the red meat processing industry. The report will include a summary of the possible carbon abatement projects in the form of an marginal abatement curve or waterfall graph. The report will also provide recommendations for meat processors to prepare for the possible changes to the emissions pathway and policies.
