ACPF IPA Management and Community Engagement, People Development Programs

The Australian Council of Prawn Fishers (ACPF) Industry Partnership Agreement (IPA) Management and Community Engagement project aims to effectively utilize resources and investments for the ACPF according to their strategic plan. The project ensures that RD&E funds are allocated according to priorities outlined in the ACPF Strategic Plan and the FRDC's RD&E Plan. Stakeholder-driven investments are commissioned in partnership with prawn fishery jurisdictions to address research priorities. Collaboration with other sectors and alternative funding sources are utilized to address these priorities. The project also focuses on community engagement, sharing research outputs that align with shared values. Additionally, a People Development Program is implemented to advance individuals in the wild caught prawn sector. The project concludes with the development of a new strategic plan for future RD&E priorities.
