The UNE SMART Region Incubator (UNE SRI) is a University-led business incubator to support startups and existing businesses bring solutions to market for agriculture, health, environmental services and creative industries.
The UNE SRI supports researchers and community-based business to grow and scale for a global marketplace. Based in the New England North West region of NSW, the UNE SRI has basecamps in Armidale, Tamworth and Moree with 40% of the startups operating in the agritech sector.
The University of New England SMART Farms serve as a test-bed for the founders of these new technologies and researchers to support collaboration for well validated technologies.
