At present, methods of removing the lipid from commodities such as oil seeds (i.e. Soybeans, Chickpeas) and tree nuts (Pecans, Macadamia) are antiquated, imperfect and inefficient. That causes delays, waste and additional cost in industries such as plant-based protein processing. The plant based protein market has already realized a US$15 billion+ magnitude in the world markets and is growing at 7%+ per annum. The ExAlt Process and Technology provides the key intermediary step in defatting commodities prior to protein extraction, and generates a marketable co-product without a waste stream. Current opportunity:

ExAlt is seeking engagement from equity investors to establish a defatting processing facility in Australia and supply chain partners in the pulse and sorghum production, accumulation and milling industries.

We have multiple inquiries and requests for heavy bulk tonnage toll processing contracts. We propose building sister facilities, one in the US and one in Australia, to service this global demand and position the company for further growth. Capital raised will fund construction of the two facilities and investors will own 49% of the resultant enterprise and outright ownership of 5 exclusive production licenses.

Opportunity background:

The process, technology and system design has been developed over a period of ten years at two major universities in the USA and in ExAlt's private R&D lab. We have engaged in light commercial production and have developed protocols for over 70+ commodities to date. (Patents pending). Using technology partially inspired by the petrochemical industry, and modified for clean, high quality food grade processing, we have resolved the challenges of complete and efficient extraction of lipids (oils, fats,waxes, gums and oily compounds) from proteins, carbohydrates or dry content, without denaturing or polluting the finished product, or use of high heat, friction or high pressure. ExAlt Processing is faster, more effective, efficient and cleaner than legacy technologies such as hexane, CO2 or expeller-extruder processing.

Other potential applications:

We are presently commercialising use of the technology (i.e. the stabilized leaf, " STBL™ " process) to replace traditional vacuum freeze drying methods for leafy greens, herbs, botanicals and light vegetables with significant reductions in cost, improvements in quality, and shelf life stability. (Patents pending). ExAlt is venturing into the nutraceutical and therapeutic products sector in its precision extraction of delicate botanical seeds.
