This project will assess what is required to develop the interactive digital platform, CaneMAPPS - Cane Mapping and Analysis for Productivity, Profitability and Sustainability - as a central point for sugarcane farm data collection, processing and reporting.

Fishers in the valuable Western Rock Lobster (WRL) fishery, off the southern coast of Western Australia, face a complex operating environment with multiple layers of compliance, often administered by different entities. This project will research options for resource co-management and improved control of compliance and operational costs; investigate traceability systems to track catch to plate; and increase sustainability through precision fishing backed by robust data analytics platforms, to provide members with greater financial and operational certainty.
