The management of ticks is critical for livestock production, with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) estimating that the annual on-farm cost of cattle ticks to the Australian industry is approximately $146m. This project will deliver six practical, producer-facing articles and relevant images to inform producers about integrated tick management.

This project will coordinate and provide direction for a number of R&D projects collecting reference data for beef cattle. Deliverables include project design, genotyping strategies, in-project data analysis/reporting, communications/stakeholder reporting, and data flows/annotation to a central database and to BREEDPLAN.

Building connections with industry leaders from other states and territories is seen as invaluable to the future stewarding of the South Australian recreational fishing community, and this project funded three members to attend the 2019 National Recreation Fishing Conference.

This project, an Industry Partnership Agreement (IPA) between Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC) and Oysters Australia (OA), was instigated to manage project development between and within OA's member states and co-ordinate access to the most suitable funding sources for RD&E goals. During the life of the four-year project, 33 oyster R&D projects to the value of $10.1 million were conducted, with the IPA involved in all but three projects.
