Update of the RMCG R&D Evaluation Model
The RMCG R&D Evaluation Model originated from co-funding by Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and AWI. It is a detailed model which is used to model the farm-gate benefit of improving on-farm productivity. The model is based on published industry data and an update using the 2016 ABS Census Data will be undertaken which will increase the alignment of the modelling of benefits with the modelled industry outcomes that can be realized with successful RD&A.
Additional improvements in the functionality of the model which will also be undertaken are:
-
The Total Factor Productivity calculation
-
Develop a data collection checklist
-
An output of data generated to use in other Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) models
-
Split the northern cattle farming system into two farming systems
