Post-Doctoral Fellowship – Understanding mechanisms of subsoil amelioration
This investment aims to develop cost effective techniques to ameliorate poorly structured subsoils and increase crop production and profitability through the incorporation of organic matter and/or other amendments. The project will focus on root distribution in soil layers, crop canopy function on water and nutrient uptake by the crop, and changes in soil structure in response to surface and subsoil amendments.
