Post-Doctoral Fellowship - Predicting weed seed dynamics in farming systems aligned to CFF00011
Understanding weed seed dynamics is an important aspect of integrated weed management programs. This investment will quantify the impact of crop sequences on weed seed bank dynamics, physiology and reproductive traits with a particular emphasis on Annual ryegrass (Lolium rigidum Gaud). This information will be used to examine the predictability of weed dynamics in specific crop sequences so pre-emptive weed control strategies can be applied by growers.
