Post-doctoral Fellowship - Managing soil constraints with On-Row Seeding Systems for the Low Rainfall Zone
Previous research has shown that repeated sowing of crops on the same row can enhance the micro-environment in which crops germinate, establish, and grow. While showing promise to addressing a range of soil constraints, a number of key scientific questions remain unanswered with respect to the viability and impact of repeated on-the-row sowing.
This investment focuses on answering some of the questions regarding this promising option to manage soil constraints enabled by advances in precision sowing systems.
