Naked Primal Cut Recognition Vision System Trial in Plant
The intent of this project is to take the technology developed during current AMPC Project no: 2017-1064 “Development of Naked Primal Cut Recognition Software” and implement the system in a meat processing plant for a live trial. The system would make use of 3D imaging sensors which will capture and process the 3D scene and process the profile of the primal cut in real time, along with a scale for weighing the cut. Information such as primal cut type, dimensions, orientation and mass will be produced by the system in real time. The objective would be to test the system currently under workshop development on the same subset of primal cuts, but implemented live in a real-world environment in a red meat processing plant in real-time.
