From IoT exploration to strategic impact

This project will assess the considerable investment that MLA has already made into on-farm digital IoT technologies over recent years. It will consolidate the learnings to date, apply a strategic lens to determine if and how on-farm IoT can enable supply chain transformation and will consider any strategic development opportunities. Firstly, this will involve a cost benefit ex post review of the investment to clarify what has been learnt, the barriers, the enablers and opportunities. Secondly, a further investigation into the strategic IoT roadmap will be undertaken to determine the relationship between IoT data and business models, integration with other MLA initiatives and wide-scale adoption along the supply chain.Strategic options and recommendations will be developed to support MLA digital Agriculture strategy considering the wider MISP and MLA program strategies (ISC, OM, VBM, etc).
