Dairy Beef Supply Chain

This project is investigating genetic and nutritional/management growth paths on the performance and eating quality of beef from dairy breeds. The key aim of the project is to increase the value proposition of dairy (Holstein/Jersey) beef production as well as investigate the viability of veal as part of the Meat Standards Australia (MSA) pathway. This project will involve participants from all sectors of the current supply chain. An increase in product value will be realised throughout the value chain from the consumer back to the producer, with results directly implementable in the MSA grading model.
