ARECO

Created in 1998, ARECO is a French Food Tech, specialising in the performance of fresh food departments, in the service of the fight against food waste, the promotion of better eating and the preservation of the environment.

ARECO offers tailor-made products and services to actively participate in the development of the consumption of fresh produce: nebulisation, Fresh Herbs module, cooling plates, remote maintenance. The company designs, manufactures, markets, installs and ensures the maintenance of all its products.

Present in fresh departments (fruit and vegetables, seafood, butchery, cheese), ARECO solutions allow food retailers to better promote and improve the management of fresh departments. ARECO nebulisation in retail enables to conserve raw fruits and vegetables in the fresh departments, by diffusing an extremely fine cool vapour into the air, without any water spraying that could alter or wet the food. This extends the shelf life of perishable foods in terms of appearance, texture, flavours and organoleptic properties.

In 2019 following its rapid global expansion ARECO opened its Australian subsidiary, ARECO Pacific, in Sydney. As the world leader in solutions for the valorisation of fresh products departments, ARECO quickly gained the trust of Australia’s two biggest supermarket chains Woolworths and Coles. Within one year, ARECO was present in more than half of Woolworths stores in Australia and created its own technical services for maintenance and installations extending its presence to the whole territory of Australia and New Zealand.

Leader in CSR and pioneer in innovation, ARECO’S presence in Oceania plays a key role in supporting the sustainability targets of its clients and supporting Australia's effort to halve food waste by 2030.

Areco is constantly innovating in the design and installation of tailor-made products and services to offer its customers personalised solutions. 10% of the company’s annual turnover is devoted to Research and Development.
