Industry challenge

As part of Bayer’s open innovation ambition, we're offering a unique opportunity to support your startup at the LifeHub California @AgStart Incubator in Woodland, California. Gain access to lab space and shared equipment, along with access to the exciting Greater Sacramento innovation and higher education ecosystem as well as Bayer’s global innovator network.

We are looking to support startups in their innovation journey.

Current opportunity

By funding 12 months of access to shared lab equipment at AgStart for the awarded startup, Bayer will support and accelerate the advancement of innovative ideas and technologies with potential to reduce the environmental impact of modern ag while increasing productivity.

Note that this program covers the cost of lab bench space only, and the awarded startup must agree to AgStart’s standard terms and conditions for occupancy. Additionally, startups from any location are eligible, but team members must travel to Woodland, California to access the lab space as desired and Bayer cannot provide visa sponsorship.

We're interested in startups focused on:

  • Regenerative agriculture
  • Applications of synthetic biology
  • Advanced breeding technologies
  • Novel crop protection & efficiency approaches.
