Intellectual Property on offer for a 100% wholemeal oat noodle product made from Australian oats

Opportunity for

Food manufacturer, food brand owner or food investor group, interested in expanding their healthy plant-based product offerings into new or established national and international markets.

Opportunity description

Industry challenge: There is increasing worldwide demand for plant based products. There are several oat products available in international markets, notably oat noodles and oat rice however they have poor shelf life stability. When processed the end product results are often inconsistent and the sensory attributes vary in quality.

Current opportunity: AEGIC’s manufacturing technology (new processing and product manufacturing “know-how”) overcomes these technical challenges to improving processing, extending shelf-life and to enhancing the sensory and nutritional qualities of the oat noodle product compared to existing products in the market. These manufacturing and processing improvements have been completed.

Early stage consumer testing and validation has been undertaken. There is now an opportunity for:

  • faster expansion into new market segments
  • expanding the product offering into the health market segment as the early-stage product R&D is completed
  • establishing a range of new products, this could include new flavours, offerings for convenience, and options for different meals, including the snack food market

This commercial opportunity provides strong potential to build a first in marketing Australian provenance export product/s. AEGIC is offering full brand and product ownership. AEGIC is open to negotiating on-going technical support and Government grants may be available to offset establishment and market development costs, should this be required.

Other potential applications: Early access to additional products within AEGIC’s development pipeline.
