Victorian Strawberry Growers Association -Ag Tech Workshops & Adoption Strategy
The project aimed to enhance the adoption of agricultural technologies among strawberry growers in Victoria. The project achieved several key milestones and outcomes.
One of the primary achievements was the organisation of various workshops and webinars focused on different aspects of agricultural technology. This included a workshop on advances in automated irrigation and irrigation efficiency, which provided updates on the latest online tools and techniques and a webinar on robotics opportunities and possibilities for the berry industry, which highlighted the potential of robotics in improving productivity and efficiency.
The project also focused on digital traceability solutions, organizing a well-attended workshop that featured presentations from industry experts. This workshop aimed to improve volume forecasting, harvest records, and traceability for growers.
Additionally, the project developed an online induction tool to assist growers with occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements. This tool was created in consultation with growers and a consultant to ensure it met the necessary standards. An online induction workshop was also conducted to demonstrate the tool and discuss its benefits and options for use by growers.
Overall, the project made significant strides in promoting the adoption of agricultural technologies among Victorian strawberry growers, providing them with valuable knowledge and tools to improve their farming practices.
