Validation of, and understanding the optimal parameters, of high frequency electrical stunning of beef cattle

There is a need to understand the potential for High Frequency electrical stunning (HFES) to reduce the incidence of ecchymoses, and to understand the process flows and parameters that optimize carcase quality, operator safety and overall productivity of beef processing when using HFES. This project aims to validate HFES in beef cattle. The project will deliver some industry-relevant information and guidance relevant to HFES of cattle, and recommend further research where it may be required.
