Validating the supply chain benefits & ROI of RCT® in beef processing plants

Potential adopters of Rinse & Chill® (RCT) are not confident of the financial, supply chain and business benefits RCT® provides across carcase types, production and processing systems. The technology has been shown in trials to increase boning room yields, offal yields and carcase yields while reducing dark cutters. This project aims to validate the range of financial, supply chain and business benefits across 2 commercial beef processing plants ($ gains). The impact of RCT® on carbon footprint per kilogram of meat sold will be measured for the processing plants and the entire chain.
