Validating the impact of RCT® in a sheep processing plant

The adoption of RCT® is constrained by processing plants’ confidence in the financial and non-financial benefits, return on investment (ROI), processes and systems required to realize the espoused benefits. This project will validate the financial and business impact of using RCT® in a sheep and lamb processing plant. A business case analysis (BCA) will be undertaken which includes the implications of boning room throughput, increase in saleable meat yield and quality parameters. Business processes and decision implications will be mapped and linked to BCA scenarios including 6way mutton, bone in and boned out lamb cuts to support adoption and practice change.
