Understanding Processor Pinch Points & Opportunities by integrating decision support tools.

A processing performance improvement program to understand processing pinch points & opportunities, supported by data integration software that connects processors’ existing disparate data in real-time will improve supply chain profitability through decision support to enhance Buy, Make and Sell insights. By connecting existing data systems in a more seamless and automated way, measurement of real-time performance improvement will verify profit uplift achieved during the project. Opportunity analysis will quantify the true impact of labour challenges on each process and will support prioritisation of AMPC’s 100 manufacturing themes including process improvement, IoT sensors, emerging AI capabilities and OM technologies. Project will assist processing plants to: 1. Quantify value opportunities within their business, 2. Develop digital and operational capabilities, and 3. Measure improvements over 18 months to demonstrate value increases from establishing and implementing an improvement plan based on quantified value opportunities. This project will assist AMPC and the industry by: 1. Providing a de-identified benchmarking reports by animal type which includes costs of production, red meat yield and true cost of labour issues to business profitability. 2. Identifying the improvements and opportunities which are possible through implementation of new technologies and interventions. 3. Opportunity analysis will support prioritisation of AMPC’s 100 manufacturing themes including process improvement, IoT sensors, emerging AI capabilities and OM and other technologies.
