Uncovering and minimising the impacts of global logistics disruption

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Australian AgriFood is facing challenges in managing and protecting itself from the impact of supply chain disruption, both domestically and abroad. This project seeks to support Australian rural industries by analysing the impacts of COVID-19 supply chain disruption so that each industry has awareness and understanding of the challenges they face individually and what they can do to combat them, so that they are able to lean into the relative uncertainty within the Australian and global economies. KPMG's approach brings together specialists from across KPMG’s AgriFood industry team and supply chain practitioners, along with our global network of subject matter experts, all supported by our market-leading methodologies and digital enablers (tools). By clearly defining impacts in the short, medium and long terms across both quantitative and qualitative data, our specialists will offer targeted insights for each industry and translate these logistics trends into meaningful recommendations as to how each industry can manage and prosper with alternative strategies during this time. Please see our attached proposal document for a full project description.
