The Impact of Freight Costs on Farm
The largest single cost in the production of many Australian agricultural industries is the cost of transport of food and fibre to port. This project will undertake a comprehensive analysis of the freight costs when moving 45 commodities to port. These 45 case studies will be benchmarked against competing international supply chains. An analysis on the efficiency of different regulatory, planning and investment strategies for freight and logisitics infrastructure in regional Australia will be provided.
