Soil health and function prioritisation

There is growing demand for knowledge on soil health and function on dairy farms, particularly regarding interactions between soil biology, physical and chemical properties, plant biodiversity, soil ameliorants, and their impact on forage yield and quality. Learnings from Grounds for Growth and P579 – Soil Health Framework highlight existing gaps in soil RD&E, making it essential to undertake further systematic industry engagement and evidence assessment to prioritize future efforts and build a stronger foundation for sustainable soil management.
