Size and Scope of the Australian Honey Bee and Pollination Industry Snapshot

The objective of the project is to provide a detailed statistical analysis of the size and scope of the Australian honey bee and pollination industry. The project will report industry current status against a historical baseline of 1962. Particular knowledge gaps include: (i) Number of commercial and recreational beekeepers; (ii) The amount of honey produced per annum per producer; and (iii) The percentage of crops that rely solely or partially on honey bee pollination.
