Sheep EID identification technology assessment continued

This project focuses on installing Sheep eID infrastructure at V&V Walsh, partnering with SCL, a New Zealand-based company to diversify the suppliers of this technology. The initiative responds to current legislative requirements within the sheep industry, ensuring compliance and strengthening biosecurity measures. By incorporating this eID system, the meat processing sector will contribute to improved tracking and management of sheep, enhancing industry standards. In addition, the project plans to integrate AI camera technology to further verify the functionality of the eID system, adding an extra layer of precision and reliability in identifying and managing sheep throughout the supply chain.
