Scoping the development of high value beef production from dairy bulls using forage based systems

This project aims to define the potential of a dairy-beef supply chain. The potential of this market will be assessed using cost benefit analysis for rearing dairy bull calves post weaning for the Australian beef markets. The exercise will identify further R&D investment opportunities that will assess low cost high quality forage systems and their potential to achieve target growth rates and consumer acceptance to dairy beef becoming a mainstream commodity.
