Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) Processor carbon abatement

The project will demonstrate a real case decarbonisation pathway for Australian Red Meat Processors to learn from and/or follow as a model that wlll balance both the industry aspirational target (i.e. CN30), and customer adopted science based targets (i.e. global Science Based Target Initiative for Forest Land and Agriculture or SBTi FLAG). The project will deliver a real organisational baseline for a large processor in terms of GHG emissions, and develop a strategy and road map to move forward and become a net-zero emissions organisation. Midfield Group will provide the oragnisational baseline and pathway, and are committed to embracing sustainability in the meat industry. To reduce the environmental impacts of its operations, Midfield Group will measure and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with best practices, to lay a strong foundation for an environmentally sustainable business.
