Revision of the Industry Animal Welfare Standard for livestock processing establishments

Following changes in industry practices, regulation and assurance schemes, it is now an appropriate time to update and refine the Industry Standard. It is proposed that the revision of the Standard follows international best practice guidelines for standard development. To compliment the revised Standard, it is essential to develop associated guidance, to ensure effective implementation and verification of the requirements.
