Ready to use soil test to manage black root rot risks

Black root rot is an important disease in seedling cotton, especially in cooler regions. This project looks to validate a pre-plant predictive test to quantify and correlate disease symptoms in the field, and gain insights into the cause of the disease. Such a tool would enable growers to detect disease activity in the soil and guide management decisions regarding the timing of planting and rotation sequences.
