Rapiscan RRT-110 system upgrade accuracy validation

Rapiscan have successfully manufactured customised imaging components and software to adapt the RTT-110 airline inspection CT for carcase assessment, with successful preliminary trials in their UK facility. The RTT-110 unit in Australia is being upgraded with these components in project V.RDP.2020. The improvement in imaging acquisition, and estimation of carcase composition and 3-D structural geometry, requires validation against the original device images, a purpose-built CT calibration phantom and medical CT. This project will validate scan accuracy to underpin the RTT-110 transition into the Teys beef boning automation program to provide the sensing required.
