RaaS phase 2 - smart adoption for refrigeration energy efficiency (Part A)

The project will evaluate a new Refrigeration Energy Efficiency Optimiser service on the existing ammonia refrigeration plant at V&V Walsh. Initial implementation (Stage 1) will utilize this Industry 4.0 service called Maestro, by accessing the existing RaaS phase 1 plant data in the cloud, but without an on-site Meastro PC. Maestro will then be used to identify and quantify savings achievable through a plant PLC upgrade, with related control logic improvements, thereby producing a smart business case for the PLC upgrade. Post PLC upgrade, (Stage 2) of the project will see a full-scale on-site Maestro deep learning implementation, and a 24-month trial of this Industry 4.0 energy efficiency service, with ongoing evaluation and reporting.
