Precision Sheep Management

The increasing availability of EID on all Australian sheep farms presents a major opportunity to exploit the wider range of applications available that EID allows beyond the mandatory requirements to upgrade traceability systems. One of the greatest barriers to adoption on sheep farms is the lack of visibility of the differenced between management strategies over the journey rather than just at the end. However, the appropriate use of EID and data cature linked with appropriate managment advice can have a big impact on observability and adoption of management interventions on sheep farms. The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the opportunities in EID usage and PSM based on scientific evidence and a strong economic and social business case, and to support the adoption of these opportunities utilising existing and novel extension methods.
