Pre-Farm Gate Waste Program - Data Collection

Australian primary industries (agriculture, fisheries and forestry) produce a signification amount of bi-product and waste. This project will develop a data collection system in line with the ‘Improving National Waste Data and Reporting’ report.  This will ensure that all data, now and into the future, will align with the data sets used in the National Waste Report, allowing robust strategies and action plans to be established and tested. Extensive consultation with Rural Research and Development Corporations and industry will be required in establishing this data set, which will aid in building understanding of the waste issues across the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors and for buy-in for proposed strategies.
