Ovine IMF - Marbl™ Twin Sensor Production System Development & Installation

This project will design, build and prove the application of an automated twin-Marbl™-sensor system for hot, non-invasive %IMF grading of lamb at processing chain speeds of 8 - 12 carcases/minute. The design, build and testing will be workshop based (Stage 1) and has the objective of removing barriers to uptake. Then, a processor and site will be identified (at a project stage-gate) before installation of the equipment as a processing site. After installation and several months of operation the process of AUSMEAT accreditation will be progressed (Stage 2). The outcome will be the first commercial installation of this novel NMR-based measurement technology.
