NCCP: identifying synergistic genetic bio control options for Cyprinus carpio in Australia
A review of genetic will assist the Science Advisory Group (SAG) of The National Carp Control Plan (NCCP) and other decision-makers seek to identify suitable techniques or approaches for biocontrol of carp in Australia. Two applications of interest are genetic biocontrol approaches focussed on either the ‘Daughterless Carp’ technology or the Trojan Y Chromosome technique. This investment will procure an expert review of these and other genetic biocontrol technologies to clarify decision-making on research investment.
